Jack Nathan Health Donates $5,000 to Mayor’s City-Wide Food Drive

Jack Nathan Health is giving back to the community of Mississauga, ON.


Jack Nathan Health is proud to have participated in Mayor Bonnie Crombie’s 2017 City-Wide Food Drive #OneBagChallenge initiative. George Barakat and Michael Marchelletta, President & Co-founder of Jack Nathan Health, formally presented their donation of $5000.00 to Chris Hatch, Executive Director of the Mississauga Food Drive.


“Jack Nathan Health is honored to be participating in Mayor Crombie’s 2017 Food Drive Challenge, as a part of the Mississauga Food Bank’s Annual Campaign. We are happy to provide our contribution to help Mayor Crombie reach her goal and share in the vision that no one goes hungry in Mississauga,” stated Jack Nathan Health CEO & Co-founder, George Barakat.


Following the presentation of Jack Nathan Health’s donation, Bonnie Crombie, Mayor of Mississauga stated, “our goal is to raise $125,000 and 225,000 pounds of food,” by end of the Campaign. “This would make it the food bank’s biggest Thanksgiving ever and the team from Jack Nathan Health are helping us get closer to achieving and exceeding our goals.”

Bonnie Crombie stated, “we are pleased to announce that we have exceeded our goals.”  Collectively 265,611 lbs of food and $225,409 were raised, providing over 883,536 meals for hungry families in Mississauga this Thanksgiving.
